Heidi - I can relate to your dilemma. I had been teaching breastfeeding
classes at an O.B. office in Tampa, and I discussed the epidural quite
candidly with the mothers. Well, the doctors of that practice decided that
their mothers didn't need to know this information, even though they could
not intelligently refute it. Their way of dealing with the issue was to FIRE
the breastfeeding instructor!!! I've gotten quite the reputation around
town, another office fired me for teaching mothers about nipple confusion.
Shall I repent for these sins---NEVER! I am furious that even though
mothers have the right to know important information, at least locally, some
doctors appear to CENSOR info that does not fit into their agenda.
