Hi Michele,

I am actually wrapping up a book at the moment (yes, this very moment!)
that is expected to be released later this spring about breastfeeding with
mammary hypoplasia. An entire chapter is devoted to discussion of a
presentation of hypoplasia/insufficient glandular tissue that is comorbid
with insulin resistance and/or diseases related to insulin/glucose. There
is discussion and additional citations of research regarding the efficacy
of inositol for treating various conditions in that chapter.

In addition, I am in the process of writing a case report of a mother with
mammary hypoplasia and insulin resistance who is using inositol. I'm not
sure when we'll get it completed or if I'll find a journal to publish it;
my plate is rather full at the moment with the book, my thesis project
(which aims to study the lived experiences of mothers with hypoplasia/IGT
-- questionnaire will go live in about a week, we hope, and I'll share it
here on LACTNET in the hopes this community will spread the word to mothers
who've dealt with this condition and they can participate if they wish),
completing my MPH (I hope to graduate in May), and 4 conferences between
March and May (3 of which I'll be speaking about hypoplasia/IGT for).

I hope this helps, this is a topic very dear to my heart.
