In the recent article on JAMA's web site... "Safety of Antidepressant Use in
Pregnant and Nursing Women", Lamberg/ Medical News & Perspectives (July 21) it
is mentioned that sleep deprivation in the wee hours of AM can HELP with
depression whereas, sleep deprivation in the hours between 9PM and 1AM tends to
make it worse. Did anyone else catch that?

I think this sits well with my anecdotal observations that it is the moms who
stay up in the evening, after putting baby to bed, that do the worst. Has anyone
else seen this? I think I am going to include it in my new parents classes...it
seems like very helpful info. Would like to hear from others on whether this
fits with your experience.
