  I've read the book....there's some really good stuff in it about
respectful parenting, but as has been mentioned before, one of the
major tenents of it is that some babies just need to scream to let
their feelings and traumas out and when that occurs, we shouldn't try
to 'stuff'/stop/repress their feelings by trying to feed them or shush
them, but instead let them cry while we hold them.

Not my cup of tea.  I'm all about the 5 s's.   Had a dad doing it this
am while mom was having a 90 min tear repair.   He felt *so* good that
he could quiet the baby.     And mom felt wonderful when this baby
latched on  in 2 seconds after what ended up being a separation of
several hours.
