I've read some of what Dr. Landrigan has written. His center is the one
that put those full page ads in the NYTimes about breastmilk being
contaminated (it was part of a series of full page ads about
environmental contaminants). I got a bunch of papers from a conference
held there about, oh, 2-3 years ago on this topic. My rough impression
was that they are much more concerned about talking about the toxins
than about promoting breastfeeding. they also sponsored a study called
Body Burden with the Environmental Working Group. This is a study that
looked for chemicals in about a dozen different people around the
country.
