Dear Netters-
Let me first introduce myself briefly, since I failed to include this several
weeks ago in my first post. I am a Registered & Licensed Dietitian working
with the WIC program in Winston Salem, NC. I also own with two other ladies
a Lactation Services and Supplies home business.

Let me get to my point....did anyone see Oprah on Friday, April 11th? Well,
again she included wrong information about breastfeeding. The doctor on the
first half of her show wrote a book, "Sneezing after sex doesn't prevent
pregnancy" (something like that) The book discusses which "old wive's tales"
are true and which ones are false. The doctor told Oprah that cabbage leaves
will reduce the AMOUNT of breast milk a lactating woman has....... Then
Oprah said something like," So, eating cabbage leaves will...lbah, blah,
blah" And her guest said, "You don't eat them, you put them directly onto
your chest.

How many shows has Oprah aired that shed a positive light on breastfeeding?
I rarely watch her show, but I haven't seen anything positive about nursing.
Just thought ya'll (Southern dialect for "you all") would want to know.....
