Over the years and from personal experience (umpteen years ago) I've noticed a marked decrease in supply with a breast infection , which rebounds with continued frequent nursing.  The frequent nursing helps empty the breasts too.  I warn moms that they may notice a decrease and how to be patient and nurse, nurse, nurse so it rebounds.  Pat in SNJ
