I had mono while breastfeeding my first daughter. I was told it was OK
to continue breastfeeding. As it turned out, we later figured out that
I got it from her. Both of my kids had mono while young. The first one
was 2, and didn't get very ill at all, had a temp for a couple of days,
My second daughter was 6 when she had it and was quite ill. Our peds do
c told us that kids often get mono, and many times it is so mild that it
isn't recognized. J. Anderson-Bruner, RN,MA
