Hello,
I see Tom Hale's medication site is down so I thought I'd try the experts at Lactnet with my patient's med dilemma.  If Dr. Hale is out there please respond also!!  My patient is on Tegretal 800mg per day, Dilantin 300-400mg per day and Zarontin (?ethal..something or other)  1000mg per day.  I have looked these meds up in the lastest Hale book and they are all individually approved by AAPediatrics.  The dilemma is the Pediatrician things that the combined effect of all three medications is not safe for the baby and has scared the mother into not breastfeeding.  Can anyone enlighten me on how concerning this combination of meds can be??
