The tea is used to stimulate the appetite, for flatulence, for cramp-like GIT
upsets, and for inflammation in the mouth and throat.  It is considered
essentially nontoxic or having mild self limiting adverse effects.  Its main
adverse effect is a possibility of it being an allergen.
