Kathy,
You must of mised several posts in the last week about this from Ann and
I . We have both called J and J to no avail . They "assure" us that its
fine , but cant really tell us what the Pro V 5 really is. Ann and I
both awaiting a call back from them , doubt they will ever call us.
Someone sent me the following info on it....
asics of vitamin B5 and what the pro
means (ie precursor to the actual vitamin). Vitamin B5 is water soluble
and would be washed off in a skin application (I suppose), so that maybe
why they use a pro (precursor) form of B5. It definitely is a necessary
vitamin for humans, and there are a lot of sources in most diets. A
synonym for B5 is pantothenic acid, you may find it on some vitamin
bottles as pantothenate. I was not able to identify specifically topical
(skin) uses, but their are a lot of commercial links to various hair and
skin products. I believe that even ancient Prell shampoo used to promote
itself as containing pro vit B5!
Let us know if you find out more. Call them at Johnson & Johnson
Consumer Products Information Center at
1-800-526-3967.
and speak to an "information specialist" and see what they tell you.
Then let the rest of us know.
Cindy
