My name is Katie Allison Granju. I am a nursing mother, a writer and a
law student at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. I have just
embarked on a semester-long directed research project on Breastfeeding and
the Law. My foci will be workplace and public discrimination against
lactating women and a model proposal for medical malpractice suits against
health professionals who medically mismanage the breastfeeding
relationship. I have just begun my research this week and look forward to
disussing these topics with LACTNET members. I am especially interested
in any material on the topic of med mal suits.
