I work for the Mississippi State Department of Health and WIC as the
breastfeeding educator for the state.  Our state office is planning a
campaign on breastfeeding in the workplace.  We are currently conducting
research in our state to find out where our WIC participants work and how
many hours a week they work.  We need substantiated documentation on the
barriers to a workplace/employer for promoting and supporting breastfeeding
with their employees.  Do any of you know any research that has been done in
this area.  I know what we all think the barriers are and what we have heard
from employers and employees, but have there been any studies published?
