I haven't heard of this brand, but I am very leery of any of the
battery/electric pumps as currently all but one do not "self cycle". I
have yet to see one where mom has to cycle the suction in which she can
sue a suction rhythm anything like baby's rhythm. Most need the suction
on several seconds (I recall 8-15 seconds from somewhere) before
releasing in order to get anything. When moms ask me about such pumps I
usually tell them "I can't give you a figure on how many women they work
well for, but I can tell you that 9 out of 10 moms having problems
pumping are using one of these style of pumps."
The directions aren't always clear on the fact that the suction must be
released periodically and when it is, little is said about how often. I
see 3 likely reasons that these pumps don't work as well an even many
manual pumps do:
1-Potential for painful nipples-especially if mom doesn't release the
suction often enough
2-Because the suction must be kept on for several seconds each cycle
instead of the 1-2 second rhythm of baby's suckling, her breasts don't
"recognize" that they are supposed to let the milk flow
3-If the same amount of milk is released with every cycle as baby would
draw in with each suck (and who knows whether or not this is how it
works) then it would take an inordinate amount of time to "empty" the
breast compared to a nursing baby, effective hand expression or a pump
that more closely mimics baby's rhythm
