Marie, as a pastor, my heart broke for you and for this mom. I've never been
able to find out the why's of something this tragic. (When we get face to
face I've got a bunch of questions about such things I want to ask Him.)
What I have found is that having caring, loving people like yourself around
helps a whole bunch with surviving the grief. I've found that
eventually--though we never know the whys--it becomes a strength that brings
forth some very powerful help for others who are struggling with similar
problems.

For now, my prayers are not only for this mom and her guilting family, but
for _you_, a real professional on the front line, tears and all.

God bless you!
