Medela has the "finger Feeder". It is made of silcon. It is about 3cm long
and the base is about 1cm wide and 1/2cm thick. This part is, due to the
thickness, rather stiff; it is the part that is shoved onto the place where
normally the needle would be put on. Instead of a needle a very plyable, but
not as softas a feeding tube, device is sticking out that is supposed to be
gently brought into baby's mouth while suckling a finger or breast. It works
better and safer then the peridontal syringe.  It is one of those devices
that is invented after and as an answer to some pioneers started using suff
other then disigned. I wonder if this is only available in Europe (cause no
one else mentioned it)? I didn't see any other brand carrying a comparable
tool.
