In follow-up to K Gromada's comment.  When mothers have insisted on using
Syntocinon, I have recommended that they spray it in the back of the
throat. I found when moms experim,ented with this that they got the same
kind of response as in the nose with one exception: no postnasal drip!
Think about it. If you end up starting to sneeze or needing to wipe nose
while attempting to nurse, how do you do this while holding baby?!  :-)

It worked well and meant baby didn't end up being put down just when things
were starting to go well.
