Numerous people have noted different belief systems of Hispanic women. It
would be helpful to know WHICH Hispanics are being used as the reference
point. Hispanic refers to women who are from a Spanish-speaking country.
This includes Spain (European) as well as Central and South American
countries. These countries differ greatly from one another in many many
respects, not least of which may be whether they accept the notion that
colostrum is not appropriate food for a newborn, a common belief among many
Mexican women. Does this mean all women who identify themselves (or are
identified by others) as Hispanic? Of course not.

Let's be a bit more careful in proposing questions about Hispanic
populations. Avoiding global statements will be more helpful to all of us
who assist women from Spanish-speaking groups.
Many thanks.
