Dear Renate and Lactnetters-
I worked with a mother who had pumped and bottle fed two infants after
recurrent bouts of mastitis and severe pain due to truly inverted nipples with
adhesions. She called me after weaning the second baby, and found aout about
the Nippl*** from AVe***. At the time, It was not available in the US, but
her family in Britain bought it at a pharmacy. She breastfed the third baby
without pain, cracks, or mastitis. In the accompanying literature, and in an
article in a British surgery journal, it was touted as an alternative to
sergery, and as cosmetic, not breastfeeding related. Worked for her!
