It seems pretty obvious that at least some women have high cholesterols
during lactation even if they didn't when they weren't lactating.  So that
the test done now while is breastfeeding may not be particularly high.

Lipitor has low oral bioavailability and high serum protein binding, so that
very little should get into the milk and of that little should be absorbed
by the baby.  If she feels she must take this drug (though I don't see why
she is so concerned--another unfortunate effect of modern medicine scaring
people who are healthy into being sick), then she should take it and
continue breastfeeding.  But it won't likely change much in her life to be
off the drug for a year or two.
