that doesn't seem problematic for a newborn who is otherwise nursing
frequently, gaining well, stooling well and is active and alert (at
normal developmental)

Everything sounds completely normal to me. even the stooling pattern
is normal.....and the sleeping pattern (for some babies). While that
stooling pattern is considered normal and acceptable, there are a couple
of of here who'd prefer to see more regular elimination. (probably just
me and Jennifer Tow). My highly allergic daughter was also an
infrequent stooler - until all problematic foods were finally eliminated
from her diet.

But I digress - your baby sounds like she's doing great....in the
abscence of other concerns or problems ('colic', eczema......) I
wouldn't nudge anyone toward dealing wtih any possible or potential
dietary stuff.
