Given what we now know about PCOS & insulin resistance, I think the link
between obesity and breastfeeding difficulties is hardly surprising.  There
are endocrinological factors as well as simple mechanical factors that can
make it more challenging for some, certainly not all, obese women.  I think
much more research needs to be done in this area so we can help these women
on all levels.
