One of the things that we do is a lobby fair highlighting world breastfeeding month and what it means in our hospital.  We do several handouts about the importance of breastfeeding and breast milk as well as handing out small gold bows with safety pins to signify breastfeeding as the gold standard (several of our staff docs are still proudly sporting theirs from last year lol).  I'm also doing a handout this year on the affordable care act and what it means for pump coverage and lactation services (well what I can glean so far anyway).  I will also have a isolette from our special care nursery along with a fake baby and monitor along with a poster presentation featuring kangaroo care in the nicu and skin to skin in the OR.  

So far my cost has been about 20.00. 

I had senior student who did the posters, found a website selling small gold bows for 2.50/50 bows and the pins were even cheaper.

I also put a story in our nursing newsletter too.
