If the parents never show up  in the doctor's office then no one really
knows what is going on.  Too many babies in US have little or no follow-up.
 This is common as insurance is not universal.  If the mom took baby to
church, always bundles baby up and people only saw a little face peeping
out, probably no one noticed.  Unfortuantely I think this happens (br or
bot) too frequently.  And GUESS what will get blamed?  BF, of course, when
the whole thing is really about other issues, as you said (isolation
