To Judy--
You asked about herbal solutions to mastitis--well, here's what I've
heard. A mother I've worked with told me about mastitis she had with a
previous baby. A midwife friend of hers from California was visiting and
made up a poultice of boiled cabbage which they applied warm. Obviously
the warmth would help, but is this a new use for cabbage??? I wonder if
any of its properties for treating engorgement would be effective in
this situation.
I am a new subscriber and have been doing lactation counseling for 2
yrs--just took the exam in Atlanta. Robyn Dettmar
