Hi there, sounds like this baby isn't disorganized at all...he likes the breast. I
have seen this many times even with newborns who after breastfeeding must
take a bottle for medical reasons. They tend to "chew" on the rubber. When
did mom introduce the bottle? If moms wait too long some babies will just
refuse the bottle period. I have seen this too. According to some research if
your going to need to introduce a bottle the best time is between 4 to 6
weeks. Maybe up to 8 weeks. Just like children learning language, their
seems to be a period of time that they adapt to change a little easier than at
any other time. Like taking something new into their mouths. I don't think it
is a matter of a particular nipple. I think someone else other than mommy give
the bottle after the baby has nursed and is not starving but not yet full.
Have mom leave the house. Babies know when mom is still home. Believe me i
have tried this. Gently, present the bottle of ebm, don't force. I would try
once daily for a week. If still a no go, can she try cup feeding? Is dad gonna
be the caregiver, maybe finger feed. Pretty soon she'll be on a sippy cup.

Good Luck.
robin
