I'm a breastfeeding counsellor and former editor of the Swedish
breastfeeding magazine Amningsnytt. Now I'm busy writing a book about
breastfeeding for new parents, "Breastfeeding in Everyday Life". I have a
question (i have sevderal, actually ..): Many sources claim that mothers
might experience a decrease in milk supply during illness, particularily
fever.
This is often said to be due to dehydration. Is this correct? Is milk supply
known to decrease in other cases of dehydration? If there is a decrease,
could it be caused by that the mother breastfeeds less frequent, consciously
or unconsciously?
