Tonight"s episode was much worse than I had anticipated. Not only did a
breastfed infant die of starvation, but they also managed to portray
everything about breastfeeding in a very negative light. Images that come to
mind are the Dr. who is late for her meeting because she is (single) pumping
while seated on a toilet and the neighbor's bottle fed infant who appears
content and secure while the "breastfed"( EBM in a Healthflow bottle) infant
is cranky and becomes ill. Most disturbing was the comment that a Mom who has
surgery and pain meds must "pump and dump" because the milk is "useless".
Shame on everyone associated with this show.
My only hope is that most households were watching the Wold Series instead.
