I have a NICU mom whose physician recommended that she eat canned corn to help her milk supply.  Has anyone heard of this?  Why?

Also this mom is 12 days pp delivery of 30 week, male.  Began pupming within 7 hours, kangaroo on day 3.  IVF due to fibroids.  Is pumping 8 times/24 hours and is only pumping 10ml now.  She has been under alot of stress since she is visiting from out of state.  Did not eat or drink well for the first week.  I have asked her all the questions I can think of and assessed her breasts(38C pre), unsure now.  Size did increase initially.  She has pendulous breasts, but normal spacing.  

I can go into more detail if needed.  I feel that I am missing something, but do not know what.  All the obvious are negative.  I have requested she have her Prolactin level checked.  

I would truly appreciate some advice.
