Subject: skin to skin vs warmer-another question

Christine: yes, baby is placed STS next to mother then blankets are placed
over both of them. That way, baby gets mom's heat and the blankets keep in
mom's heat. You can even use warm blankets. This is totally evidenced based.
Don't need warmer units over mother-baby. Mother is the warmer unit. With
thermal synchronicity, mom's body registers infant's temp and puts out more
or less body heat accordingly.
