It is VERY possible and most likely the result of the dose of
betamethasone. I work with many women with asthma who have this problem.
One woman who I wrote to Lactnet about earlier this year was being
treated with terbutaline for pre-term labor along with steriods for her
asthma and she was engorged at 34 weeks. I would advise Motrin rather
than Tylenol for the anti-inflammatory properties. There is really no
other intervention needed or recommended. In my experience, this has not
negatively impacted the ability to lactate post-birth.
