Try contacting Dr. Howard Zwibel in Miami, FL. re: latest medications
for MS.  He has run an MS clinic for the past twelve years. This is a
debilitating disease and as LCs you may need to realize it is far more
important for the mother to be on meds than breastfeed.  Each cycle
causes more damage to the mother.  Dr. Zwibel has done research on each
of the three medications on the market for MS now.  They are all very
effective at preventing relapses.  She may not need to be on the newest
one on the market.  The efficacy seems to be equal with the only
difference being the route of administration.  Copaxone is a daily SC
injection, Betaseron is every other day SC and Avonex is weekly IM. Dr.
