 Doesn't make sense to me to check milk of FT moms if baby gaining normally.  It is useful for  specific purposes, removing fat for babies with chylothorax or adding fats for preemies -right?  What else would it be useful for? FT baby not gaining?  FT milk has a high % of fat, what, if we didn't know better, would look like too much fat.  and would scare HCPs/moms, who don't know about the high fat %.    If baby gaining rapidly I can just hear a mom being told her milk is too fat.  As Jack N says arrgh.  Pat in SNJ
