Is this some kind of urban myth?

This is a new one for me after 50 plus years of pharmacy practice.

How in the world these two distinctly different structures can attach to the same receptor (prolactin, in this case) is beyond me.

Yes; divergent chemical structures can have similar outcomes but not by acting on the same exact receptor site.
