Dear Lactnet Friends:

<http://www.springerlink.com/content/6th6751586gw5587/>

Have we gotten to the point in human existence when formula feeding is
considered the absolute norm....this study wants to answer the question
"does weaning to hydrolysed formula reduce the incidence of Type 1 diabetes
by age 10 in babies with a strong family history of the disease?"

Why wean to any formula? Why not support breastfeeding as the already proven
way to reduce incidence of diabetes? What will ingesting MSG do to babies;
the hypoallergenic formulae are highest in MSG, a neurotoxin that crosses
the blood-brain barrier in infants, and that many adults won't eat because
it gives them headaches?

warmly, and upset that humans don't seem to have the wherewithal or the
desire to survive and live healthily.
