I agree with your misgivings, Linda.
Mid-grade pumps are not appropriate for all situations, and selling them
to a mother along with her baby photos is not a good idea.  If she needs
a pump urgently, she probably needs a rental hospital grade pump, if she
is going back to work, she usually has time to shop for a good deal.
 The worst case scenario here is that moms who need a rental pump will
order this pump, wait for it to be delivered before starting pumping,
and have a low milk supply as a result.  And we certainly don't want
mothers to think that they need an expensive pump in order to
breastfeed.  This is captive audience advertising at it's worst.
This is also unfair to all the pump company's depots and resellers.
If your hospital does not include advertising in the photo packages,
then you can easily refuse on those grounds.
