it sounds like you're describing this:
baby in cross cradle/cradle hold on left breast....moving baby closer up
into moms left armpit to get babies chin more into breast?

I do the opposite...have mom move baby so baby's legs are more 'wrapped'
around her right side....so iow, she's moving baby [slightly]  more to
her right, not her left which ime gives her better control with the
babies head so she can really 'lead with the chin' to get that deep
asymmetrical latch.  i also have mom 'anchor' babies chin into breast,
then almost scoop baby's top jaw over the nipple (as it folds back as if
it isn't going in...then pops forward just barely making it in)

am i misunderstanding?
