I appreciated Martha's approaches for reaching teens.

I enjoy guest lecturing at the local high schools and feel I reach the
teens there.  However, it's seldom that I feel that I have made a good
connection with the newly-delivered teen mothers when I meet them for the
first time in our maternity ward.  They seem to have an impenetrable,
although polite, mask up.  Once in awhile I get one to drop for just a
flash, then it's back up again.

Since I don't have access to them except at this moment in time, any
suggestions?
