Dear Lactnetters:

I was questioned by an expectant mom last night about using the drug
"Mevacor" (generic: lovostatin), a cholesterol lowering agent, while
breastfeeding. She was taken off it for the duration of her pregnancy and
is now wondering whether or not it would be safe to resume it while bf. Her
physician really didn't know much about it so I told her I would try to find
out. Lawrence, Riordan & Auerbach, and the Chemical Agents. . . books did
not have any references whatsoever. Can anyone help me out?
