PTP for learning purposes

Worked with a mom who had saline breast implants 6 years ago under the muscle. The incision location was under the breast. Mom reports sensation in the nipple and says breasts feel otherwise like they did prior to surgery. Immediately postpartum she pumped because baby was having difficulty with suck/swallow both at breast and with a bottle. One morning she woke up with bruising around the breast, beyond the area where the flange was on the breast. Her MD thought it may be related to the pumping and her implants and advised her to stop so she didn't rupture her implants. So Mom is no longer pumping or putting baby to breast.

My question is - how likely is this to be related to the implants? What are other causes of breast bruising? Mom reports that she didn't have bruising elsewhere. (BTW, labor was fast, with no medication or IV fluids.)

Like I said, this is for my own learning, mom is not intending to continue BF, but was fine with me learning from her situation.

Thanks,
Lisa Paul
