I had a hard time with that one, too.  If you're using AOL, just highlight the
text from beginning to end, and then click on "Forward."   It will still show
up with the colored background, but then you can click on the little
background-color-selector (2nd little block from the left just above the text
on mine,) & change it to white.  When finished reading, just delete it.
