Had to add my $.02 worth. I was prepared for the episode to present
breastfeeding in an unfriendly manner, but I, too, was caught off guard and
quite angry at the portrayal of Baby Friendly! A contract? Since when?! I
also noticed some subtleties that, perhaps I was more attuned to having just
seen Dr. Jack's presentation in Chicago. How about how the show portrayed a
pumping mom -giving the impression they were sympathetic to the issue- then
showed her seeming to have very little bond with her baby. How about: the
only Dr. who was sympathetic to breastfeeding and Baby Friendly being black.
Meaning no disrespect but that he was the only such person in the room ("not
the norm", or "different"? may be the association). Hooray for him, at any
rate. Also the mom pumping while sitting on the toilet (dirty?). The name
Ross I didn't even pick up on, I was so put off at the outset by the woman
Dr's attack of the parents! Lots of subtleties on that show! I too, think
the formula companies will be laughing all the way to the bank!

Still smoldering, but mostly sad....for babies,
