Dear Ann,
Has the baby had a medical work-up?  To rule out cardiac problems or
infections? There are also tests for cow's milk protein allergy, these are not
fun for the baby but may be helpfull to the parents to rule in or out a
diagnosis.  I hope the pedi plans to bring this baby in for frequent visits
and wt checks.  Having mom restrict her diet may help but I think there may be
more to this problem.
