One of my babies preferred only sitting up for the first month, she had
been a month premature and we struggled with breastfeeding in any
position that whole first month.  I would be so tired sitting up with her
in the middle of the night.  I finally tried gradually scooting down with
her to the side-lying position, and she was fine.
      It's hard to trick a baby, but Mom wasn't born yesterday!  (A line
my parents used to say)
