A friend that lived in Houston TX. 10 or so years ago had many
conversations with LC's about this. She had it done (her Mom actually
wanted her to) when she was 16.  She couldn't figure out why she could't
nurse her first 2 fully then the realization about the silicone.  Had
mamograms etc. figured many ducts were filled with silicone.  She nursed
her next three or four for the first few days by herself then used a
Lact-aid with donated breastmilk or ABM til weaning about 2-3 years.
Babies did'nt seem to have any problems.  I met her after her 4th was born
and knew her until she moved back to Houston from Murray,Ky.  She is a
nurse now in Houston.  Spark anyones memory?
