 Carmela, I sure hope you pass this tidbit to the medical staff at that hospital.  How sad that the porter knows more than the medical staff! You will have to do it very diplomatically tho!  Maybe take them the ABM #5 Protocols on Peripartum Breastfeeding Mgmt. 

I was talking to someone the other day about the ABM Protocols and how excellent they are.  I don't understand why a hospital wouldn't just adopt them, instead of going thru the trouble of writing their own.  I'm a great believer in the philosophy of not reinventing the wheel!  And they do try to up-date them every 5 years.
