It has been my undrstanding (and experience) that if the SNS hangs high
enough (the tube end lower than the bottom of the bottle) the milk will flow
like a siphon. That would not require any suction by the baby.
When feeding a baby with a cleft I think it might be hard to manage for the
mom to have to use one hand to press the plunger, and simultanously hold the
baby, hold the breast, support baby's chin and/or close the cleft lip with
her finger or thumb,...

BTW, not being a RN, nor native English speaking: would like to know what is
a 5 french tube?  The only tubes I know are the small. medium and large ones
that come with the Medela SNS.
