BTW, this is for a retired counselor whose daughter is now 10mos and not

taking solids at all. She screams and turns her head away when the
spoon
is brought out even though she has never been forced to eat. Solids
introduced at 7 mos and offered since then but never forced. Recently
she
started *losing* weight. Not sure about growth (either head or length)

I had a mother whose child exhibited exactly the same symptoms. Would
allow nothing near her mouth but the breast. At 12 months the mother
became pregnant (unplanned) and was in denial of the pregnancy. As her
milk supply decreased the toddler stepped up her nursing but continued
to lose weight. This went on for far too long , The child lost a quarter
of her body weight before the mother confirmed the pregnancy! Child was
hospitalized, feeding tube... Ultimately diagnosed wtih severe reflux,
esophagitis.

gastroenterologist -ASAP****
Have also seen this in 2 other children. Seems they are OK with breast
milk but decline rapidly when solids are attempted.
