What kills me is when a mom tells me that she has found a great 
solution to the up-and-down at night problem: the sofa!  They don't 
realize that entrapment on the sofa is a more significant risk than 
falling off the bed.  I always suggest putting a mattress on the floor. 
  We wouldn't have to worry about sofas if co-sleeping was more 
acceptable so that people could talk more about safe ways to do it :P
