MK: I'll be doing a Medela Grand Rounds in October on K Care - I found
lots of info doing a Google. Of particular interest to me was the mountain
of information out there on the chemistry of bonding and emotions. My
presentation will come at K Care from the biophysiology angle. I heard Jim
McKenna speak last week on his favorite topic - co-sleeping - and he
brought in some of the hormonal aspects of K Care in his discussion. The
other speaker, by the way, was excellent also. She is a professor of
Psychology at a local 2 year college and was able to make her material on
attachment very relevant as she is still nursing her 2 year old. I'm glad
to see attention being paid to the nitty-gritty in all this. Which is the
role hormones and chemistry play in all this.
Good Luck, Mary Kay, with your research and presentation.
